It’s so strange to see all the unique and iconic logos that I grew up with, being repurposed to newer and further simplified designs. This isn’t to say that all the new logos are worse, but just an observation I wanted to point out, especially since so many companies in the last few years, have undergone significant logo changes that make the company’s old branding unrecognizable today. Nevertheless, this shift in logo aesthetics is just one part of a larger trend among big companies like Apple who’ve achieved incredible success through their simple and mass appealing branding. So today, I wanted to elaborate further on the modern appeal of minimalism, offer my thoughts on the style and then display some really interesting minimalist logo transformations that I’ve come across recently.
